The PADI® Scuba Diver course is an intermediate step in obtaining the Open Water Diver certification. If you don’t have a lot of time, but want to start your diver training, the PADI Scuba Diver rating may be for you – especially if you prefer to dive with a dive guide. During this 2-day course, you will develop the knowledge to understand the fundamental principles of scuba diving, learn the basic techniques and apply them during 4 supervised dives in the natural environment up to 12 meters.

You have the possibility to learn the theory from home in e-learning before coming. PADI eLearning allows you to easily integrate the theory of diving before you start your training with us, saving you time. Study the principles and terminology of scuba diving at a time and place convenient to you. Work at your own pace, online or offline, on a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor when you have a question. Once the theory has been validated, your instructor will go over the essential points with you in person.

Tailor-made diving courses
The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is knowledge development, so that you understand the basic principles of scuba diving. This covers the first three of the five sections of the Open Water Diver course. The second is Confined Water Dives, which teaches you basic diving skills – the first three of the five dives in the Open Water Diver course. Finally, you’ll embark on your open-water dives, where you’ll use your skills and explore. This covers two of the four dives in the Open Water Diver course.
Once you’ve completed your e-learning, we’ll be waiting for you in Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer to take the practical part. For 2 days, you’ll be aboard the Silenus for daily departures (9 h – 16 h). After an introduction to the boat and safety instructions over coffee, we’ll set off for a short sail to the first dive site. After your dive, you can swim around the boat or relax on the sunbeds. Then it’s time for a convivial aperitif and catered lunch. We then sail to the second dive site. After a light snack, we head back to the port of Saint-Mandrier-sur-Mer. The dive sites will be different on the second day.
